The Manor Studios (aka The Manor) was a recording studio in a manor house in Shipton-on-Cherwell, north of Oxford, UK. It was the first residential recording studio in the UK, founded in 1971.
The manor house was owned by and mainly used as a recording studio by Virgin Records Ltd., and associated companies. In April 1995 following the acquisition of Virgin Records Ltd. (owner of the studio through its subsidiary Virgin Studios Ltd.) by Plc, The Manor Studio was closed.
