New corporate name for [url=http://www.discogs.com/label/Motown]Motown[/url] formed in June 1988 after [l=Motown Record Corporation] was purchased by [l=MCA Records, Inc.] and Boston Ventures, Inc.; originally based in California, then in New York. Dissolved in 2000 following merger into [l=UMG Recordings, Inc.]
