Formed in 1972 by [a=Michael Gudinski] and [a=Ray Evans (2)], it was sold progressively to Rupert Murdoch's Newscorp in the 1990s and eventually merged with [l=Festival Records Pty. Ltd.] in 1998 to form [l=Festival Mushroom Records Pty. Ltd.]. The catalogue is owned by Warner Music Group now.
