Pioneering New Zealand independent label operating 1980-83. Propeller is regarded as the first of the wave of post-punk NZ indies.

The label released various compilations in the years since, although its subsidiaries, [l=Huh Records], and [url=http://www.discogs.com/label/Joy+Records+7]Joy Records[/url], have been active signing and releasing new artists since.

Distributed initially by [l=Ode Records], then [l=Festival Records (NZ) Ltd.] and now by DRMNZ.
