Dave Grusin' and Larry Rosen began working together on albums for a number of young jazz artists in the early seventies. They formed a production company, Grusin-Rosen Productions (in short GRP) in 1973. In 1978, in a partnership with Arista Records, they founded the record label Arista GRP.
