Flamingo
In 2004, Flamingo Recordings was established as a Dutch independent record label by DJs [a=Funkerman], [a=Fedde Le Grand] and producer [a=Raf Jansen (2)]. Their aim was to create a platform on which they could find a way to release their tracks without compromises. They wanted to release House "a la Flamingo" while "Taking no Shhh from any A&R!" In a short period of time they established themselves in the international label scene with releases that would be licensed to partners such as [l=Defected], [l=Ministry Of Sound] and [l=Cr2 Records].
After a few releases, they struck gold with the first version of Fedde Le Grand's "Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit" and "Take No Shhh". Their future aim is to release tracks that are as fresh as they can be, with a new and always improving sound, and appealing to a large group of people without losing its underground identity.
