Amato International started life in 1996. The idea for the label was thought up by Amato's team of buyers with a view to license imports and have remixes done to give the tunes a new angle. As time has progressed the competition for licensing imports got tougher so they focused their A&R towards unsigned UK dance acts. Natious and Tr Junior are good examples.
