Circle-B Records
1960s-1970s country label from Nashville, Tennessee.
Founded by Bill Owens in 1961, initially used for self-releasing singles by himself and his niece, Dolly Parton. In 1967, after the formation of Owepar Pub. Inc., Circle B Records became a formal label for releases produced by Bill Owens and his brother Louis Owens that was operated as a side business out of Owepar's offices in Nashville. In 1969, Bill Owens left Owepar and reorganized Circle B in partnership with his brother, Robert Owens. This version lasted slightly less that a year but released several singles. In 1972, Bill Owens revived the label for at least one release by his brother Robert under the alias of John Henry III.
