Children's record label that was founded in 1946 by [a=Horace Grenell]. It was managed by Grenell and Lester Troob, and it's main function was as a mail-order subscription club ("Young People's Record Club). YPR made records from 1946-1957, they were pressed on vinyl (not shellac).

From 1946-1952, the label was primarily a mail-order club. According to Troob, roughly 35,000 of each title was pressed. After 1952, the label became retail only (except titles which were reissued on [l=The Children's Record Guild]).

In 1950, Grenell left and developed [l=The Children's Record Guild] for Greystone Press. In 1952, Greystone purchased YPR and continued to operate the CRG club throughout the 1950s. YPR and CRG titles were marketed on 78rpm discs until the late 1960s.
