SRT Productions Ltd.

SRT Productions Ltd. was a UK manufacturing company (incorporated circa 1971) run by engineer [a=Dave Richardson (2)], that specialised in manufacturing records for small labels and self-releases. The company was originally based in Luton, then moved to St Ives, Cambridgeshire, where it opened a record factory in 1984. The company's focus moved to production of CDs in the early 1990s.

The company also operated a label, [l=SRT].

Records manufactured by SRT can be identified from 'SRT' in the runout areas of the disc. This is usually accompanied by a unique job code. CDs manufactured by SRT can be identified by a job code in the form [SRT yy CD nnnn] or [yy CD nnnn], where yy is the last two digits of the year of manufacture and nnnn is a unique, sequential job number. Add a credit to LCCN: Manufactured By – [l=SRT Productions Ltd.] and add the complete job number (e.g. SRT 97 CD 4789) to the catalog number field.

This job code should not be used as a catalogue number except for releases on the [l=SRT] label on which there is no other catalogue number.
