Oriole Records Limited

British record company and owner of the [l=Oriole], and [l=Embassy] labels. Incorporated on 13 December 1948.

Records were manufactured at the company's own pressing plants and Colnbrook.

On the 1st June 1954, the company brought the US [l=Mercury Records] label to the UK market, and Mercury titles previously issued on the [l=Oriole] label were rebranded for the UK.

The company headquarters at New Bond Street also housed , which became , following the acquisition of Oriole Records Ltd. by (CBS) in 1964.
The company was subsequently renamed on 1 April 1965.
