Spanish record label, active from 1954 to 1984. Founded by musician and lawyer José Ramón Batallal.
Belter was formally launched in 1954 and run by record company [l=Belter, S.L.] from 1954 till the early 1962.
After a company restructuring the label was operated by the renamed company [l=Discos Belter, S.A.] till its defunctness in 1984.
It specialized in Spanish folk music and dance-oriented music.
Belter name came from founders wives names: IsaBEL and TEResa.
Belter records were released in France by since 1956.
