Please consider using as 2nd label if it appears on the release.
1970s classical label later renamed [l=ABC Westminster Gold] from '74 and remembered primarily for the cover art created by graphic artist [a=Christopher Whorf] (who also created a number of [l=Dot Records] album covers as well as the cover art of [a=John Lennon]'s Double Fantasy album). [a=Sir Adrian Boult], [a=Julian Bream], [a=Beverly Sills], Dame [a=Kiri te Kanawa], [a=John Williams (7)] and [a=Daniel Barenboim] all recorded for the label.
Recordings licensed from the Russian state-owned label –and not used by Angel through – were released on the US market from March 25, 1973 on [l=Westminster Gold], on [l=ABC Westminster Gold] from 1974 and later on [l=ABC Westminster Gold/Melodiya].
The catalog is now managed by [l=Deutsche Grammophon] which has been reissuing albums in recent years.
