VDC

[b]V[/b]ideo [b]D[/b]uplicating [b]C[/b]ompany - usually appears as "MADE IN U.K. BY VDC" as part of a CD matrix.

VDC was established in 1982 and began optical disc manufacturing in 1994. The plant operated in Wembley and went into administration in December 2014.

Occasionally, the glass mastering was outsourced to [l=PDO, UK].
In such cases, an 8+2+1 pattern is added to the matrix, e.g. 10321601 01 &.
In those cases PDO, UK should be credited with Glass Mastered At, using the first 8 digits.
