Formed in 1973, the Blue Sky label centered around acts managed by [a=Steve Paul], which were heavily connected to [a=Edgar Winter] & [a=Johnny Winter]. The label showcased many Johnny Winter productions, and was dissolved in 1983 when Winter left the label. Blue Sky was a trademark of [l=Blue Sky Records, Inc.].
US labels through 1976 had a black background with the Blue Sky logo filled with a cloud graphic; releases and reissues from 1978 on replaced the black with a photo of a blue sky and clouds.
