BMG Victor, Inc. was established in 1987 after the Bertelsmann Music Group acquired RCA Records. It's a joint-venture with Victor Musical Industries, Inc. The start of the company marked the end of the [l=RVC Corporation].
In 1997 the company was renamed to [l=BMG Japan, Inc.]
