Recommendation: [u]PLEASE NOTE[/u]: about black metal releases, if it says [b]"Century Black"[/b] anywhere on the release, you must submit it to [l=Century Black]!

[b]Distribution:[/b]
Before mid-2005, a large list of international distributors appeared on the back covers from Century Media releases ([url=https://www.discogs.com/release/633136-Napalm-Death-The-Code-Is-Red-Long-Live-The-Code/image/SW1hZ2U6ODAwMDM3NA==]example[/url]). This changed around July 2005, when [l=EMI] struck "an exclusive multi-territory agreement to license and distribute" Century Media releases.

Some press articles also confirm that the first EMI-distributed album was [r1250054].

In addition to the distributor list disappearing from the artwork, barcodes also changed from [b]7 277017 ******[/b] to [b]5 051099 ******[/b]

The deal lasted until 2015, when the label was bought out by [l=Sony Music Entertainment].

So, please have in mind that all Century Media albums prior July 2005 with a barcode like [b]5 051099 ******[/b], or without the distributors list, are probably reissues. In case of doubt, please ask in the forums.
