Deacon Records
Deacon was a short lived British budget label based in London in the early 1970s. Sometimes the covers incl. a [l=Gallery Stereo] label pressing.
The label may also appear as just Deacon Stereo. By the end of 1971 Deacon expired and was replaced by the successor label [l=Windmill (3)]. Both labels frequently display an additional "Spectro-Stereo Dimension" brand.
The company behind the label changed names and addresses within the short time of existence.
One version is [l=Deacon Records (1971) Ltd] - this may also appear as Deacon Records 1970 or 1971 - England - or similar.
The common printer company is [l=West Brothers Printers Limited] - with slightly verbatim variations and suffixes.
Remarkable are the many cover version releases that lacked any artist or mention an otherwise unknown band.
