Too Pure was a London-based independent record label formed in 1990 by Richard Roberts and Paul Cox. The label gained prominence after the release of PJ Harvey's debut album Dry in 1992 whose signing was partially funded thanks to 4AD founder Ivo Watts-Russell investing in the label.
Too Pure then became majority owned by the Beggars Group. In April 2008, Beggars Group, chaired by Martin Mills, opted to retire the Too Pure imprint, moving key artists to the Beggars Group owned 4AD label. Too Pure A&R Jason White also moved to 4AD.
The label issued monthly 7" singles in a subscription service called the Too Pure Singles Club up until December 2017 after which it closed its doors.
Its catalogue is part of Beggars Arkive.
