Osamu Uchida
Japanese medical doctor, jazz concert promoter and record collector. Born in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, in 1929, and died December 11, 2016. Sometimes referred to as "Dr. Jazz". After his retirement, he donated his collection of records, magazines, private tapes, etc., to the city of Okazaki, which maintains a special archive and exhibition space for it at the Okazaki Municipal Central Library.
