André Breton

French writer, poet, and surrealist theorist born February 19, 1896 in Tinchebray (Orne, Normandie) and died September 28, 1966 in Paris. Best known as the principal founder of Surrealism. Considered an avant-garde artist, he worked with many pioneering artists such as [a=Louis Aragon], [a=Paul Éluard] and [a=Salvador Dalí].
