His first wife was [a=Μίμης Φωτόπουλος]' daughter. After their divorce, in 1975, he married [a=Χάρις Αλεξίου] with whom they adopted a son, [a=Μάνος Θεοφίλου] (named after Alexiou's dear friend, [a=Μάνος Λοΐζος]); they later divorced. He became brother-in-law of [a=Γιώργος Σαρρής].
