Donald Runnicles

Scottish conductor (born November 16, 1954 in Edinburgh, Scotland).

General Music Director of the Deutsche Oper Berlin since August 2009 and Chief Conductor of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra since September 2009, he has been Music Director and Principal Conductor of the San Francisco Opera from 1992 to 2009 and Principal Conductor of the Orchestra Of St. Luke's from 2001 to 2007. He is also Music Director of the Grand Teton Music Festival since September 2005, and Principal Guest Conductor of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra since September 2001.
