American soul singer - songwriter - producer.
Born February 3, 1939 in Morganton, NC - died March 21, 2004 in Howell, Brighton Township, MI.
Worked for from 1959 to 1972 with the top selling acts of the roster like [a=The Supremes], [a=Smokey Robinson], etc. He also cut some singles in the early 60's as a duo with [a=Jackey Beavers]. Then he started working for . In 1974 he started his solo career with the notorious smash "Hang On In There Baby". He last charting single was "My Girl / My Guy" his 1980 duet with [a=Amii Stewart].
