


Cheryl Mason-Dorman
Cheryl Mason-Dorman,originally from Columbus, Ohio. She is a singer based in Philadelphia.
As Cheryl Mason-Jacks (see [a=Cheryl Mason Jacks]), she was in the original line-up of . She got to know and who had been in a 1960s group, which broke up in the early 1970s. This came about as a result of her being in a drama group in the Philadelphia School Of Performing Arts which Cassandra Wooten was involved with. Along with them she became part of the original line up of . She sang on the [i][m=117703][/i], [i][m=75266][/i] and [i][m=75262][/i] albums. This came to an end in or around 1978 when the three members were dismissed and replaced by a new line up.
Along with Cassandra Wooten and , Mason-Jacks became and they sang back up on 's [i][m=73013][/i] album.
Having met Alfred Dorman,and becoming his wife in 1983, she became [a=Cheryl Mason-Dorman]. Having a long career in education in various roles which included administration, teaching and a directorial position, she was also assistant principal at Jules Mastbaum Vocational-Technical High School and assistant principal at Stephen Decatur School.
She was involved with the 2007 album, [i][r=19070725][/i] by was released. A Christian-themed album, all of the material; was composed and produced by . Mason-Dorman sang on the song "Whatever He Says, Just Do It!".
With Cassandra Wooten, Cheryl Mason-Jacks and , re-formed the group in the 2000s. At some early stage in the venture, Michelle Simpson from Casmijac was involved. Performing live around 2015, they did a live rehearsal of "Music Is My Life" with Mason-Dorman singing lead. In 2016, with Renee on lead vocals they had a Billboard Top 40 dance hit with "[m=1077279]". In 2021, they had announced the release of "Whatcha Got".
