Rik Kenton

Rik Kenton

British musician who is largely known as a bassist, but is also a guitarist, keyboard player, programmer of Linn drums, producer, and songwriter.
After the disbanding of Woody Kern, he had a stint in Roxy Music. However, this only lasted a few months as he was hired in the June of 1972, and fired in December of the same year. Following a short-lived solo career in the mid-1970s, he became involved in the synth-pop scene of the late-1970s, eventually forming Savage Progress in 1982. On the departure of Glynnis Thomas, he chose to disband the group in 1984 and began playing as a session musician. He has subsequently appeared with many acts, including Bassomatic, Anne Clark, and Orchestra JB.

Born: 31st October 1945, in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England.
