Superfunk

Funky house music band from Marseille, France.

After the success of "New Jersey" as [a=Dealers De Funk], the previous trio released several club tracks on the [l=Fiat Lux] label. The album "Hold Up" (2000) followed, which contained the original versions of club favourites "Last Dance", "Lucky Star", and "The Young MC".

Shortly after, [a=Fafa Monteco] (aka [a=Fabrice Texier]) left the trio to concentrate on a new job in Radio RFM, Paris.

The duo made a comeback in 2018 - fuelled by the rebirth of [l=Black Jack] Records, which relaunched for its 20th anniversary - with [a=Stephane B] (aka [a=Stéphane Bonan]) fronting as a DJ.

Unfortunately Stéphane died in August 2020, leaving [a=Mike 303] (aka [a=Hamdi Hassen]) the only member left behind the Superfunk project.
