Best known pseudonym of musician and movie director [a=Quentin Dupieux], Mr. Oizo became famous after his instrumental track "[m=64910]" (1999) was used in two different commercials for the [l=Levi's] jeans brand, which also featured the puppet Flat Eric, created by Dupieux.
The term "Oizo" is a homophonic intentional misspelling of the word "oiseau" (pronounced wa-zo), meaning "bird" in the French language.
