Real Name: Ralph Lawrence Beckett, Jr.

American poet, songwriter, musician, author, and literary critic.
Born April 4, 1947.
As a songwriter and music arranger, Beckett collaborated with Tim Buckley in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He's charted 5 times in the U.K. and twice in the U.S. as a songwriter from 1992 to 2011. His highest charter is "Temple of Dreams" by Messiah, which charted at #20 in the U.K. as well as #17 on the alternative chart, #10 on the dance, and #117 overall in the U.S.
