American southern soul - disco singer born as Fern Kinney-Lewis in Jackson, Mississippi on July 11, 1949. She started in the mid-1960s singing with [a=The Poppies (3)] along with [a=Dorothy Moore]. She released one solo single in 1968, the [a=Huey P. Meaux] produced [url=http://www.discogs.com/Fern-Kinney-Your-Loves-Not-Reliable/release/3212441]Your Love Is Not Reliable[/url], and in the 1970s she did back-up singing for other artists' releases, e.g. [a=King Floyd], [a=Dorothy Moore], [a=Z.Z.
