American jazz cornetist. Son of , and brother of .
Born September 16, 1960, Brooklyn, New York.
He first studied the trumpet in high school before studying with [a=Dave Burns]. His first professional jazz position was with [a=Jaki Byard] ('78-83), before playing with [a=Michael Carvin] (1981-82), and [a=Steve Coleman] (1979-88). He moved to Paris in 1991, but returned to the US in 1993.
