Takeshi Akimoto

Takeshi “Heavy” Akimoto, bassist.
He started his career with VITAL CONNECTION, formed in 1991, and with on drums, the rhythm duo DRY&HEAVY has been active around the world, delivering the most powerful reggae grooves. He also organizes and performs in Rebel Familia with his ally , and in the roots dub band The Heavymanners, and continues to be influential in a wide range of music scenes that are not limited to reggae/dub.
