Gerald Newson

New Zealander classical and jazz double bassist. Born in 1943 in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Former longtime member of the [a=London Symphony Orchestra] (1968-2008). Prior to moving to London in 1967, he was a member of the [a=New Zealand Symphony Orchestra]. He retired in December 2008.
