
Perquisite
Real Name: Pieter Perquin
Dutch musician, producer, composer, and songwriter, born April 13th, 1982 in Amsterdam, North-Holland, Netherlands.
As a trained classical musician, trained on the cello, keys, and bass, Perquisite began making hip-hop beats at the age of 14, often incorporating classical and jazz elements in his compositions. Since 2003 he is known as one half of the hip-hop duo [a=Pete Philly & Perquisite]. He has also worked with Dutch jazz musician [a= Benjamin Herman], Curaçaoan jazz singer [a=Kris Berry] and Surinamese singer/songwriter [a=Jeangu Macrooy].
In 2009 he won a Golden Calf (Dutch: Gouden Kalf), the award of the Netherlands Film Festival for composing the music for the film 'Carmen van het Noorden'. He has since gone on to compose a number of music scores for several Dutch feature films.
