The Lox

American hip hop trio from Yonkers, New York City. Composed of Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch. Beginning circa 1994 as Bombsquad, they renamed themselves to 'The Warlox'. When they signed with Puff Daddy, he convinced them to shorten their name to 'The Lox' as they were "no longer at war". They also often capitalized their name as 'The LOX' to show it stood for "Living Off Xperience". Once they got out of Bad Boy Entertainment and into Ruff Ryders/Interscope Records, they started to refer themselves often as simply 'LOX' to drive home the acronym.
