Ka'Nut

A native of Flint, MI, who grew up in Oakland but returned to his hometown to jump start his career, Ka'Nut hooked up with trackmasters from both locales for his debut album, 1998's Look at 'Em Now. His cousin, Steve Pitts (who has worked with Flint's Dayton Family) and Bay Area producer E-A-Ski both helped out on the LP, and Dayton Family regulars Eric and Ira Dorsey make appearances as well. He passed away in 2019.
