Chocolate Milk

US funk group formed in 1974 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Early sessions with producer Allen Toussaint resulted in the band being signed to RCA Victor in the summer of 1975, and releasing '132484' (#15 R&B / #69 pop), which was sampled often in the hip hop era. The group eventually released 8 albums for RCA. Other hits include '446697' (#14 R&B) and '189622' (#15 R&B).

The group disbanded in 1983 after their final album 593599 failed to take off in the charts.
