Lester Fernandez

Born on April 10, 1970, in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York, Lester Fernandez—known professionally as Psycho Les—is a Colombian‑American hip‑hop producer, rapper, and DJ. He forms one half of the influential duo The Beatnuts, alongside Juju. Active since the late 1980s, Psycho Les began DJing under the names DJ Les Jams and DJ Incredible at age 15, later meeting JuJu in high school. The Beatnuts debuted with the EP Intoxicated Demons in 1993 and followed up with several acclaimed albums, such as Street Level and Stone Crazy. Renowned for their sample-heavy, Latin‑influenced beats and humorous street lyrics, the group earned membership in the Native Tongues collective.
