Emmanuel de Buretel

Emmanuel de Buretel is a French music executive best known as the founder of Because Music, and his work with Virgin during the 80s through to 2004.
While an executive at Virgin France, he founded or co-founded Source, Delabel and Labels. He was appointed head of Virgin Continental Europe in 1998, then of EMI Continental Europe in 2001.
He left EMI in 2004 to create Because Group, an independent structure based in London and Paris with branches and departments covering most fields of the music industry: Because Music, Because Editions, Corida, a tour promoter, and concert venues in Paris such as La Cigale and La Boule Noire.
