Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis

Multi-platinum American producer and songwriting duo.
Jam and Lewis started out in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA funk band [a=Flyte Tyme] and later became members of one of [a=Prince]’s side projects, [a=The Time]. They are widely recognised for crafting the “Minneapolis sound" along with Prince. After parting ways with Prince, they established a recording studio and production company named after their old band, , and embarked on a longtime collaboration with [a=Janet Jackson] which spawned several #1 hits. They are one of the few artists to have achieved the feat of writing and producing hits in three consecutive decades (1980s, 1990s and 2000s), for artists such as , , or .
They have won five Grammys and received the most nominations for Producer of the Year, with 11 nominations, and have received eight ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Awards. They were inducted to the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017.
