Norbert Drogies
German drummer, bassist and percussionist in the Krautrock era, born in 1951 in Bremen. His musical career is closely connected with his brother Jürgen Drogies.
They started to play music in the mid 1960's in their self-founded students' band 'The Outcasts', the band was active from 1966 to 1970. In 1970, the Drogies-brothers founded their short-lived project D.R.P. (Drogies, Ranwig, Pickert) with Hans-Werner Ranwig and Claus Pickert. In 1971, the next band project was Thirsty Moon. They produced two albums until their first hiatus at the end of 1973. In 1976, the Drogies brothers made a third album as duo and later that year, there was a reunion of the band in a different line-up. In 1982, the band was finally cancelled. Drogies is active in the advertising industry and is an oldtimer collector and runs an online car-museum.
