Dave Dee
Real Name: David Harman
British singer and lead singer of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, born 17th December, 1943, in Salisbury, UK - died 9th January, 2009.
Owner of short-lived Double D Records (UK).
As a young police cadet, he attended the scene of the car crash on Sunday, 17 April 1960 that took the life of Eddie Cochran and severely injured Gene Vincent. He is said to have described how he began to play guitar using Cochran's Gretsch at the police station.
