Hailing from Hackensack, New Jersey, DJ A.P. (Allen Joseph Pizza) has been a driving force in the music industry since the early ’90s, making his mark as a DJ, producer, and remixer. With relentless dedication and unmatched energy, he built a massive following by producing mixtapes and spinning at New Jersey’s iconic roller skating rinks. In 1993, he co-founded the Negative Reflection Crew, a collective of DJs and artists, alongside DJ Just—now known worldwide as Just Blaze.
During the golden era of New York City nightlife, DJ A.P. commanded the decks at legendary venues like The Tunnel, Limelight, and Exit, cementing his status as a staple in the East Coast club scene. His first commercial release, The Many Stylez EP (1996), co-produced with DJ Sizzahandz of Crooklyn Clan on AV8 Records, set the stage for a career filled with club anthems, including “Keep the Party Live,” “Run This,” and “Wessyde Vibe.”
In 1999, DJ A.P. launched the Sudden Impact mixtape series, featuring original music from industry heavyweights like Wyclef Jean, Ray J, Ice-T, and Naughty By Nature. The series' fifth installment was rated #1 in The Source Magazine’s "Tales of the Tape", solidifying his reputation as a tastemaker.
Following the success of Sudden Impact, DJ A.P. became one of the most sought-after remixers of his time, pioneering the mash-up movement with support from elite DJs, including the legendary DJ AM. Over two decades, his innovative productions and high-energy performances have taken him across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, bringing his signature sound to global audiences.
Since 2009, DJ A.P. has called Atlantic City home, headlining and holding residencies at the city's top nightclubs while continuing to travel nationwide. With an ever-evolving artistry and a career built on passion, skill, and authenticity, DJ A.P. remains a powerful force in the industry—keeping the party live, no matter the stage.
