As a violinist, he actively performed in the music recording industry from the 1950s, appearing in many classical, pop, jazz, and soundtrack recordings. In 1943 he was a member of the newly formed The American Art Quartet, which included violinist Eudice Shapiro, violist Virginia Majewski and cellist Victor Gottlieb.
