Eria Fachin
Eria Fachin (born 20 April 1960 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) was a female dance/pop singer of the 80s. Her career began with the release of her debut album "My Name is Eria Fachin".
Eria's only hit song "Savin' Myself" peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 33 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music\Club Play chart and number 13 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart. It was successful in her native Canada and was a club hit in the UK and throughout Europe.
Eria's follow-up singles "Eria's Aria\I Hear a Symphony" and "Your Love Just Came Too Late" were only successful in Canada. After that, nothing much was heard from Eria, and she seemed to have faded into obscurity. Eria was working on a new album when she was diagnosed with cancer. Her second album was never released as the singer lost her battle with cancer on 5 September 1996. She was only 36 years old.
Eria recorded the theme song for the Kiefer Sutherland film "Woman Wanted", which wasn't released until 2000, 4 years after Eria's death.
