Tom Peterson

Real Name: Thomas R. Peterson

American studio saxophone player, arranger, educator. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Based in Los Angeles, California since 1970.
Peterson served in the U.S. Army Field Band (Studio Band) for three years before going to California. He has worked as an educator, clinician and adjudicator. He can be heard on television, albums, motion pictures and jingles for television and radio.
Peterson has played in notable big bands, including the NBC Tonight Show Orchestra with Doc Severinsen (17 years), Toshiko Akiyoshi, Lew Tabackin Big Band (7 years), Bill Holman Big Band (5 years) and The Bob Florence Limited Edition.
His recording credits include work with B.B. King, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Blood Sweat & Tears, Ed Shaughnessy, Elton John, Kenny Loggins, Leon Russell, Paul McCartney/Wings, and Stevie Wonder.
