Gary Barnacle

Saxophone/Flute/Clarinet player, songwriter, arranger. producer and engineer. He owns and operates his digital/analogue recording facility - 241 Studios in London UK. Played with various punk bands like [A=The Clash], [A=Pearl Harbour], [A=The Ruts], [A=The Damned], [A=The Boomtown Rats] and [A=Public Image Limited], as well as rockabilly band [A=Stray Cats].
Then through the 80s with groups/artists like: [A=Kim Wilde], [A=Level 42], [A=Swing Out Sister], [A=Visage], [A=Marilyn], [A=Holly Johnson], [A=Soft Cell]/[A=Marc Almond], [A=Spandau Ballet], [A=T'Pau], [A=The Creatures], [A=The Beautiful South], [A=Tina Turner], [A=Elvis Costello], [A=Roger Taylor] (Queen) and [A=The Cross (3)], [A=Andy Taylor] (Duran Duran), [A=Phil Collins], [A=David Bowie] and [A=Paul McCartney], among others.
During the 90s he worked with such diverse artists as [A=Jamiroquai], [A=Soul II Soul], [A=Guru]'s [A=Jazzmatazz], [A=Paul Hardcastle], [A=Derek B] and [A=James Brown] plus [A=Bjork], [A=Eternal], [A=Jimmy Ray] and [A=Shed Seven].
Has worked with [A=Yazz] in the 80s, 90s and 2012. Also with [A=Cutting Crew] in 1986, 2013 and 2015, [A=Andrea Magee] in 2013, [A=Emilie Simon] in 2014 and [A=Audioshock] in 2015, among others. In 2016 he recorded with [A=Robin Bibi] among others. 2017 saw him recording with [A=Simon Law] and [A=David Palfreyman]/[A=Nicholas Pegg] on their Decades project. In 2018 there was recording with [A=Joanna Law] and a live @ O2 release with [A=Soft Cell]. 2019 saw him being reunited in the studio with [A=Rusty Egan] (Visage Revisited) plus the beginning of a new recording partnership with [A=e-bit].............as did 2020 with [A=Steven Jones (6)] & [A=Logan Sky]. Also in 2020 were recording sessions for [A=Owen Paul] and 16000340. 2021 sees him contributing to 18146752, [A=Kiss of Deers] and 2392834.
In 2022 he contributed various saxes and flute to the Top Ten album 2622683 - which were recorded at 241 Studios.
