


Adrian Sherwood
Real Name: Adrian Maxwell Sherwood
English record producer & musician, born on 1958-01-20 in London. Sherwood is best known for his label and his dub music, as well as for remixing a number of popular acts such as [a=Coldcut], [a=Depeche Mode], [a=Sinéad O'Connor], [a=Primal Scream] or [a=Skinny Puppy]. Sherwood is also the founder of the labels [l=Hitrun Records], [l=Green Tea] and [l=Sound Boy], and cofounder of [l=Carib Gems] & [l=Pressure Sounds].
His most well-known label is , (= label page), a name Sherwood sometimes also operates under cf. (= artist credits page). He is also the 4th member of industrial hip-hop outfit [a=Tackhead], credited as "mixologist". During the early 1980s he brought together many Jamaican artists under the collective name of [a=Singers & Players] including [a=Prince Far I], [a=Mikey Dread], [a=Bim Sherman] and many others, this helped promote the individual artists at the same time as promoting the On-U label.
