Carol Hibbs

American mastering engineer born on July 11, 1933 in Torrance, CA.

She started as a Technician at Century Record Mfg. Co. to learn the process of engineering and then was hired at K Disc Mastering in Hollywood, CA. She worked with clients in the studio as a mastering engineer for 17 years until she retired. She retired close to her family in Arkansas.

Common runout groove etchings: "Kdisc ch" or "ch" by itself. The "ch" may appear as Jch or uch and are often slightly fainter than the rest of the runout. If her initials are preceded by a letter, this refers to that mastering studio where the work was done.
