Pier Paolo Pasolini

Italian film director, poet, journalist and political activist.

Died 2 November 1975 in Ostia, Rome, Italy.
In April 2014, the Vatican described Pasolini's film [i]The Gospel According to St Matthew[/i] (1964) as "the best film ever made about Jesus Christ." His murder has been the subject of contradictory accounts.
